Gianfranco's life started in San Pietro Avellana, Italy, a small town in the mountains of Central Italy.  During the '60's and '70's he participated in exhibitions and art contests in the region.  In early '74 he moved to California following his girlfriend.  From the mid '70's to date Gianfranco has exhibited in the entire Bay Area.  These days his studio is at the Citadel complex in San Jose, which houses more than 30 local artists.
